Immersive Ferris wheel
Project Description
In partnership with agency Bferraz, we developed an application to be used on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. We participated in the Lollapalooza event and created an app where people registered and connected to the S24 Ultra phones placed inside the Ferris wheel gondolas.
After logging in on the S24 Ultra phones, people could take high-quality photos from inside the Ferris wheel gondolas and then, via a QR Code, save the photos to their own phones.

Samsung at Lollapalooza
What did Samsung do at Lollapalooza?
Samsung turned the Lollapalooza Ferris wheel into a photo studio to showcase the Galaxy S24 Ultra camera. Each gondola had an S24 Ultra running an exclusive app: visitors signed up and logged in, took high-quality photos during the ride and, when leaving, saved the images to their own phones via QR Code.
Who developed the Samsung activation at Lollapalooza?
XR Studio developed the app and the experience in partnership with the agency Bferraz. The app handled sign-up, login on the gondola devices and the QR Code system that delivered the photos.
How did visitors get their photos?
When leaving the Ferris wheel, each person used a QR Code to save the photos taken with the Galaxy S24 Ultra inside the gondola to their own phone.
